I've made several turkey calls for some Pro-Staffers & they really liked the results & have been aired on the hunting programs. We spend a great deal of time selecting different types of wood that goes into our friction calls. It takes a lot of time, patience, skills & dedication to make a great sounding turkey call. Once the wood is selected, we turn the wooden pots & sand them down. We then select the soundboard. We use glass, copper, aluminum, Pennsylvania slate & other soundboards. Just to name a few. When we select the playing surface for a call, then its time to apply the graphics etc. After this is done, At their final stages we apply multiple coats of finish to them. Then match the strikers that best produce & play the best turkey vocalization to each & every individual call. This is when the turkey call is born. They are very beautiful looking & great sounding. At last they are ready for collectors or turkey hunters to take on that next turkey hunt, helping to bring in that Wise Ole Gobbler from the field to the fryin' pan. All of our Scratch Box Calls are hand made from start to finish. Out Friction Call Pots & Single Piece Strikers are Hand Turned personally by me One At A Time. If my call can't produce excellent sounding turkey talk. It wont be shipped If you are looking for a certain type of wood that we may not have on our website, please contact us, tell us the type of wood you need so we can further assist you. Please allow at least 2-3 weeks for delivery. Most times it doesn't take that long. Please keep in mind that turkey season is one of our busiest times of the year. We are trying to stay with the more common types of woods. But we will still use the exotic woods & poly pots per your request.

The wood is hand selected on these box calls, but it takes a great deal of work to actually call them a box call. We hand sand the boxes & lids & apply multiple coats of finish to the calls to bring out the natural wood grain. Then we hand tune them etc. Once they are tuned just right, there ready to be packaged. We have standard double sided box calls, two handed double sided box calls, & single sided box calls. They are available with a variety of common & exotic woods. Most of these calls can be used either right or left handed.

Turkey hunting is my passion. I remember the first time my dad introduced me to the turkey woods. It was a cool crisp morning. He made his setup behind me & hit a few notes on his friction call. After a short time had passed, a response came back with some gobblin'. And then, shortly, there he was! That ole gobbler was just a drummin' & a struttin' his stuff. After my heart skipped a few beats & I lost the trembling sensation. I made the shot. Needless to say my first shotgun was a 10 gauge. So I had to make sure I still had my arm after the recoil buried it in to the tree. "Never brace your shoulder against a tree with a 10 Gauge Shotgun." I looked back & dad was chuckling & said great shot. I still carry the memory of that hunt in every call I finish. Oh & for the turkey? He had a 12 inch beard, a nice set of spurs & felt like a ton of bricks when I had to carry him to the truck to head to the check-in station.
